What is a Birth Chart?
A birth chart, or natal chart, is a map capturing the exact planetary positions at the moment of your birth. It’s unique to each individual, based on their birth location, date, and time.
Visually, the chart is a 360-degree wheel divided into 12 sections, each named after a Zodiac constellation—Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Your planets are plotted on the wheel according to the sign they occupy. To find your Sun sign, we look at which Zodiac constellation the Sun was positioned in at the time of your birth.
Astrologers interpret this chart by examining the interplay of astrological elements, combined with their knowledge of the archetypes each sign represents. The planets further reveal personal traits, growth opportunities, and paths for evolution.
